Construction Update

• Landscaping just to the left of the drive-thru lane (west) appears to be completed.

• Chairs and stools have been installed in the restaurant.

• The Drive-Thru sign and Menu board were installed.

• The address sign was added “5801”

• Tiles were added to the west-facing entrance–making it ready for an INO sign–the only side that doesn’t have it.

• More external tiles have been installed.

• My parking spot apparently has other uses beside parking my car there–I am trying to not be offended.

  INO will not meet their target to open by the middle of July.

  IMO–until we see workers being trained, we are over two weeks out.

  Interviews are starting the week of 7/14

  The city is still waiting for INO to provide them with a revised Traffic management plan and they still have to receive sign offs from various departments and external agencies. The last two items, I believe, are final inspection and occupancy permit.

  Recently, INO gives a press release only one day before a new store opens. 

  What we know–

  Final signs were installed the week of 6/16

  Palm trees have been planted.

  Applying for a job there started 6-16

  Interviews began the week of 7/14

  Here is the typical sequence–but it is not an exact science:

  6–8 weeks out–“Now Hiring” sign appears on the fencing or building

  3–4 weeks out–Hiring ramps up, interviews and orientation begin–they typically hire 60-100 employees

  2–3 weeks out–Crew members start on-site training, often visible in uniform

  1–2 days out–“Now Hiring” banner is usually removed, replaced by opening-day preparations
